Kanok Rhum KR1 Single Barrel

Our inaugural release Rhum Agricole. Distilled from 100% organic freshly pressed sugar cane juice, the spirit has rested in an ex-bourbon barrel for 15 months. Double distilled in copper potstills, we have retained the true character of this spirit through minimal intervention. Distilled in 2020 (yes our lockdown baby) and bottled in 2022. A pure farm to bottle release

Your batch number means: KR1/26 - Kanok Rhum 1st bottling / Bottle number 26 of 100

Nose: Fresh sugar cane, cereal, moderate sweetness with a hint of malt. Vanilla, cherry and some salted caramel.

Palate: Ultra smooth, wood character brought through the palate, subtle char (from the ex-bourbon barrel), citrus, tea and hints of honey. Perhaps a bit toasty.

Finish: Not forgetting the cane juice at the end, a bit of straw, citrus, long lingering mouthfeel. A little smoke and toast.

Kanok - is of Thai origin and means design or pattern. Sugar cane is planted in a specific pattern for optimum use of earth, wind, moisture and air.

Our process also follows a specific design to retain optimum flavour of the cane juice.
